Sprint 2 - Static Route

Given networks:

  • Router 1: 192.168.10.0/24
  • Router 2: 192.168.20.0/24
  • Router 3: 192.168.30.0/24
  • R1 to R2: 10.10.10.0/24
  • R1 to R3: 10.10.20.0/24

Router IP configuration

  • Router>en
  • Router#config t
  • Router(config)#int s0/0 or int f0/0
  • Router(config-if)#ip add 192.x.x.x 255.x.x.x
  • no shut and exit

VPC IP configuration

  • PC> ip 192.x.x.x 255.x.x.x 192.x.x.x

On Router 1

  • Router(config)# ip route 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.55
  • Router(config)# ip route 192.168.30.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.20.55

On Router 2

  • Router(config)# ip route 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.5
  • Router(config)# ip route 192.168.30.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.5

On Router 3

  • Router(config)# ip route 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.20.5
  • Router(config)# ip route 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.20.5

Task 2: Add a new network (192.168.40.0/24)

  • Add Router 4 and connect to Router 3
  • Add Switch 4 and connect to Router 4
  • Add PC7 and PC8, then connect them to Switch 4
  • Assign an IP address and subnet to Router 4
  • Assign IP address, subnet, and gateway to PC7, PC8
  • Configure a static route on Router 4, make sure PC7 and PC8 can ping other PCs
