It's practically illegal to work on your own car in the city. That is, unless you have the privilege of access to a shop.

Right now most of my "wood work" is stuff to serve other projects, ie carts and tables for the shop and a vent box for my server racks.

I've had this Industrial Sewing Machine for 10 years. I got it to sew a dome cover for Burning Man. I restored it to sew face masks for CovidClusterfuck2020. I just added this Brother Industrial Serger to the team, because magic.

It's 3-phase, 4-wire 120/208 Wye. Each phase is ideal 120V, but '240V' is aspirational at best. 3-phase loads yes please.

So much of the work in the shop is on the shop itself. But all of the work invested in making it operate smoothly immediately pays off in faster, better work down the road.

EG, cutting on legless tabletops was an upgrade from using the floor...

These tables still aren't finished but they've changed everything...
