The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers, often abbreviated to Painter-Stainers' Company, was one of the livery companies of the City of London. It was formed from a merger of the Painters, who governed painting on solid material, and the Stainers, who governed painting on cloth, but by the 17th century its members could practise any trade (see Livery company#actual trades). Members of the company who were also freemen of the City of London gained the title Citizen and Painter-Stainer of London. The company was based at Painters' Hall in Little Trinity Lane.
George Willingham was a member of the company, although he actually traded as a merchant. Nehemiah Wharton may have been a member.
