By default, only the admin role can use the Viewer integrated with archive. Users with the user role cannot see the eye icon.

To allow the user Role to access it:

• Log into DCM4CHEE as user having admin role.
• Go to Menu -> Configuration, then on Devices page, use Edit Device of dcm4chee-arc device, go to Extensions and Edit Extension of Device Extension.
• In Child Objects of the UI Configuration select (first) child (by default called default) in the drop-down.
• In its Child Objects select Permission named Action - Studies - Open Viewer.
• By default you see here admin role against the field Accepted User Role. Using + (Add), add user role and Save.
