Creating a New Exercise - czbar/ChessForge GitHub Wiki

You can create Exercise in Chess Forge manually or automatically from a Study or a Game.

In the Position Setup dialog box:

  • Select a piece and drag it to the deisred square (red below)
  • Use the checkboxes to specify castling rights (green below)
  • Use the drop-down list to select the en passant square (blue below). The system will list all potentially legal en passant squares.
  • Use the toggle button to choose which side is to move (purple below)
  • When finished, click OK (yellow below).

The program performs basic validation and may return an error if the position you trying to setup is illegal, for example if there is no White king or if Black has two kings.

The system open the Exercise Header dialog. Complete the fields as required. See Exercise Header Editor
