5key

The "5key" layout features the iconic rice balls from Dancing★Onigiri positioned next to the arrow keys.
The standard method is to play using a one-handed 5key setup with the arrow keys and the space bar.
There are two main styles: one that clearly uses both hands for 5key, such as “D F J K Space” or "D F J K L," which is similar to 7key; and another style where, even though the same arrow keys and space bar are used, players switch hands depending on the situation.
The advantage of two-handed 5key is that it reduces the physical strain when there are multiple simultaneous presses in rapid succession. On the other hand, it is said to be unsuitable for charts with many “Onigiri” sections because it requires focusing on the arrow keys.

You can choose to place the onigiri on the right, left, or center.
In Pattern 3, the default key assignments have been changed to accommodate two-handed play.
