Hardpoint, a rigger, and Sledge, street samurai, convene--independently of each other--at the inappropriately busy for the hour Stuffer Shack for a late night snack.

Hardpoint grabs a couple soy burgers and heads to the back to warm them up in the microwave arc broiler, while Sledge approaches a couple making out in the pet food aisle. Startled, the couple drops a large amount of loose cat food on the ground.

A harried woman carrying a baby enters and distractedly starts shopping while mumbling about the baby's "good for nothing father". She checks out and exits the building, only to burst back in, talking about diapers or something like that.

Suddenly an explosion erupts from the parking lot near the front corner of the store, knocking over several shelves and burying Sledge in the rubble. Two gangers rush in demanding that "the girl" be handed over and assuring that no one would be hurt if their demands were met. Counter to the claim he just made, the leader then fires blindly across the tops of the aisles hitting no one, but causing a green smelly vegetable based liquid to spray on Sledge.

In response to Hardpoint sends up two drones and flies them down the main aisle toward the one who fired recklessly, and they take aim and fire. The ganger goes down, and one of his companions rushes to his aid to help him. The first ganger gets back up and fires again into the store. This stray bullet manages to hit a taquito roller near the microwaves causing it to explode, sending food shrapnel flying towards Hardpoint.

In retaliation, Hardpoint sends the drones fire on him again, putting him down for good this time.

During all of this, Hardpoint makes repeated attempts to get the mother and child out the back door, with zero success.

Meanwhile, Sledge is slinking and sneaking around through the shelves playing a bit of cat-and-mouse with the remaining ganger and a large shaman who has subsequently appeared, encouraging them the whole time to stand down while attempting mirror based trick shots.

Eventually only the shaman remains standing.

Around the same time, Hardpoint manages to talke the woman with the baby into sneaking out the back door into the parking lot.

The familiar sounds of Knight Errant sirens can be heard in the distance.

The shaman has taken a lot of damage at this point, and Sledge is trying to talk him into surrendering, but the Shaman shrugs him off, saying he's not afraid of anything they can dish out. The shaman weaves a duo of spells, surrounding himself with a shimmering blue light and causing the drones surrounding him to twitch and spin. Despite the magical aid, when all four of Hardpoint's drones open fire on him, he's pulverized into a fine mist.

Sledge, Hardpoint, and the woman meet up in the back parking lot. The woman is babbling semi-coherently about the mini-corp VP (Mel) who sent the gangers after her to permanently stifle her threats to expose their affair and subsequently produced child to the VP's family. The woman offers a cut of the money if the shadowrunners help her intimidate Mel into paying her off.

They decide to hop in Hardpoint's van and vacate the area before continuing the discussion.
