0️⃣ Call of Coruthu Cthulhu

Welcome to the Call of Cthulhu, a game full of secrets, mysteries, and horror. Playing the role of a steadfast investigator, you travel to strange and dangerous places, uncover foul plots, and stand against the terrors of the night. You will encounter sanity-blasting entities, monsters, and insane cultists. Within strange and forgotten tomes of lore you discover secrets that man was not meant to know. You and your companions may well decide the fate of the world.

We'll go over character sheets and game mechanics before playing.

If you are curious and would like to read ahead, we'll be using the Quick Start Rules for 7th Edition:

1️⃣ Creating an Investigator

Character Creation

Some favourite occupations in Call of Cthulhu are Professor, Journalist, Occultist, and Archeologist. The occupations are only limited by your imagination.

I recommend starting with a pre-made character:

Fill in all the BACKSTORY you want, and add GEAR & POSSESSIONS appropriate to your profession and hobbies.

3️⃣ Scenario Intro

You are going to be hired to investigate an old house in 1920s Boston. Rumor has it that it may be haunted!

The players should create a team of private detectives, amateur sleuths, journalists, or friends of the landlord who have volunteered for the task.

4️⃣ Expectations

This is a mystery! The game is much more about investigation and exploration than it is about combat.
