Cyre
Before the Last War, Cyre was the seat of the kings and queens of Galifar. The wealth of the kingdom flowed through Cyre, and it was a nexus for commerce and culture. Their capital was destroyed on the day of the Mourning and all but a lucky few were lost to that cataclysm. The land formerly inhabited by the nation of Cyre is now referred to as "The Mourning" and consists mostly of ruined buildings, blackened vegetation, feral Warforged, mutated beasts, and treasure hunters that aim to uncover lost Cyran treasure and maybe some answers as to what happened on the day of The Mourning.
New Cyre
All that remains of the nation of Cyre can be found in a massive refugee camp set up in east Breland. Calling this collection of people a nation would be an exaggeration. At best, they are a collection of people that once called the same place home. At worst, a divided, barely stable town with hardly enough money to interface with the economy of the world that surrounds it.
Breland
At the end of the Last War, Breland stood as the most structured and therefore, most formidable Kingdom in Khorvaire. The popular King Boranel ir’Wynarn rules in conjunction with an elected parliament but there are rumors that Brelish aristocracy may end upon his passing. Breland's crown jewel is the city of Sharn, also known as "The City of Towers". Sharn has become famous as a hub for commerce and intrigue.
Breland has accepted more Cyran refugees than any other nation. The largest refugee camp, New Cyre, has a population of over four thousand and is being converted into a town. Prince Oargev of Cyre is effectively the mayor of this town.
