Garudaa LLMG 108
Garudaa LLMG 108 is BRAHM-AI's own 8B large language model, fine-tuned for Hindi-first, Indian-language, Devanagari, Sanskrit-aware, multilingual and local intelligence workflows.
It is developed as a local and private reasoning model within the wider BRAHM-AI ecosystem and can be used by systems such as BRAHM True, BRAHM Voice and BRAHM AI Acharya where model-based reasoning is appropriate.
Garudaa is not intended to replace deterministic systems such as Panchang calculations, scripture verification, account data, market feeds or other structured sources. Instead, it operates as a language and reasoning layer alongside those systems.

Its development focuses on:
- Hindi-first interaction;
- Indian-language understanding;
- Devanagari processing;
- Sanskrit-aware language handling;
- multilingual reasoning;
- conversational intelligence;
- local inference;
- private inference;
- RAG-assisted responses;
- structured knowledge integration;
- reduced dependence on external AI providers.
Garudaa is designed as one intelligence component inside BRAHM-AI rather than as the entire BRAHM-AI platform.
Model Identity
Garudaa LLMG 108 is publicly identified as:
BRAHM-AI's own 8B large language model, fine-tuned for Hindi-first, Indian-language, Devanagari, Sanskrit-aware, multilingual and local intelligence workflows.
This description is intentionally explicit so that Garudaa is not confused with:
- a chatbot interface;
- a simple API wrapper;
- a scripture database;
- a voice engine;
- a translation engine;
- a Panchang calculator;
- a search engine.
Garudaa is a large language model used for language understanding and reasoning.
Role Inside BRAHM-AI
BRAHM-AI uses a modular architecture.
Garudaa is responsible for model-based language and reasoning tasks where appropriate.
Other systems remain authoritative for exact or structured information.

Validated BRAHM Response
Garudaa is therefore part of a larger intelligence architecture.
Hindi-First Intelligence
Hindi is one of the principal development priorities of Garudaa.
The model is fine-tuned around Hindi-first interaction rather than treating Hindi only as a translated secondary interface.
Development areas include:
- natural Hindi conversation;
- Devanagari input;
- Hindi reasoning;
- Hindi explanation;
- Indian terminology;
- mixed Hindi-English input;
- Indian conversational context.
Indian-Language Intelligence
Garudaa is designed for broader Indian-language workflows.
Its development direction includes support for languages used across the BRAHM-AI ecosystem, including:
- Hindi;
- Bengali;
- Marathi;
- Gujarati;
- Punjabi;
- Tamil;
- Telugu;
- Kannada;
- Malayalam;
- Odia;
- Assamese;
- Nepali;
- English;
- additional multilingual workflows.
Language capability may vary according to task, fine-tuning coverage and connected BRAHM-AI systems.
Devanagari Processing
Garudaa includes strong focus on Devanagari-script content.
Relevant areas include:
- Hindi;
- Sanskrit-aware text;
- mixed Sanskrit-Hindi content;
- Indian names;
- scripture terminology;
- Devanagari punctuation;
- transliterated and native-script queries.
The model can therefore participate in workflows where Devanagari is the primary script rather than merely an output translation.
Sanskrit-Aware Intelligence
Garudaa includes Sanskrit-aware language capability.
This can support:
- Sanskrit terminology;
- Devanagari Sanskrit;
- Sanskrit-Hindi mixed questions;
- scripture-related reasoning;
- grammar-oriented explanation;
- Indian philosophical terminology.
Garudaa itself is not treated as the canonical authority for scripture text.
When an exact verse, mantra, sutra or scripture reference is required, BRAHM-AI can first obtain verified evidence from its structured knowledge systems.
Scripture Reasoning
The preferred architecture is:

↓
Contextual Explanation
This separation is important.
Garudaa can explain evidence, but verified canonical text should come from the appropriate scripture source.
Reasoning
Garudaa can be used for tasks such as:
- contextual reasoning;
- comparison;
- explanation;
- summarization;
- natural-language understanding;
- multi-step questions;
- Indian knowledge discussion;
- RAG-based answers;
- conversational follow-up.
Not every BRAHM-AI request needs Garudaa.
Simple or deterministic tasks can be handled by specialized systems without invoking a large language model.
Retrieval-Augmented Generation
Garudaa can participate in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.

Grounded Response
RAG allows the model to work with externally maintained and updated knowledge without requiring every fact to exist inside model parameters.
Structured Knowledge Integration
Garudaa can work with structured BRAHM-AI systems.
Examples include:
- scripture evidence;
- Sanskrit knowledge;
- Panchang context;
- internal knowledge stores;
- approved live data;
- specialized domain helpers.
The model can reason over the result while the specialized system remains responsible for the exact data.
Local Inference
A central objective of Garudaa is local inference.
Local deployment can provide:
- greater infrastructure control;
- privacy;
- reduced external dependency;
- offline or restricted-network options;
- predictable model access;
- future institutional deployment.
Garudaa can be deployed through suitable local compute environments.
CPU Inference
Garudaa can operate on CPU-based environments where suitable.
CPU inference provides a useful option for:
- development;
- testing;
- private workloads;
- lower-volume usage;
- hardware environments without dedicated GPUs.
CPU inference is generally slower than GPU-accelerated inference.
The architecture therefore does not assume that one hardware configuration is appropriate for every workload.
GPU Inference
GPU acceleration can improve:
- generation speed;
- concurrent usage;
- response latency;
- larger context workloads.
BRAHM-AI can use appropriate GPU resources when required while preserving the same Garudaa-facing application architecture.
BRAHM Application

Garudaa Inference Layer
↓
CPU or GPU Runtime
↓
Model Response
The application does not need to change its identity when the underlying hardware changes.
Quantized Deployment
Garudaa can also be deployed through optimized or quantized representations where appropriate.
Quantization can reduce:
- memory requirements;
- storage requirements;
- hardware cost.
The trade-off can involve:
- speed;
- quality;
- context capacity;
- hardware-specific performance.
Different deployment profiles can therefore be selected according to the environment.
Private Inference
Garudaa is intended to support privacy-oriented deployment.
A private deployment can keep model processing under BRAHM-AI-controlled infrastructure rather than requiring all text to be sent to a third-party model provider.
This is particularly relevant for:
- private applications;
- internal tools;
- sensitive enterprise workflows;
- institutional use;
- local research.
Provider Independence
Garudaa is part of BRAHM-AI's broader provider-independent architecture.
BRAHM-AI can use different intelligence paths according to:
- task;
- speed;
- hardware;
- privacy;
- availability;
- capability.
Garudaa gives the ecosystem an internally controlled model option.

What Garudaa Does
Garudaa can be used for:
- conversation;
- reasoning;
- explanation;
- summarization;
- multilingual understanding;
- Hindi-first responses;
- Indian-language workflows;
- Devanagari;
- Sanskrit-aware language tasks;
- RAG;
- contextual generation;
- local/private AI applications.
What Garudaa Does Not Replace
Garudaa is not treated as the source of truth for every BRAHM-AI function.
It does not replace exact systems such as:
- Panchang computation;
- canonical scripture verification;
- user balances;
- account permissions;
- live market prices;
- live weather;
- Mandi Bhav;
- payment information;
- deterministic calculations;
- database records.
For these tasks, the relevant authoritative system should be used first.
Reliability Architecture
BRAHM-AI follows a hybrid model-and-tools architecture.

Response
This reduces unnecessary hallucination for questions where exact data already exists.
Hallucination Control
Garudaa is a generative language model and can produce incorrect information.
BRAHM-AI therefore uses architectural controls such as:
- structured evidence;
- deterministic tools;
- source verification;
- RAG;
- validation;
- restricted routing for exact data;
- fallback behaviour.
The goal is not to claim that a language model can never hallucinate.
The goal is to avoid asking the model to invent information that can be obtained from a reliable source.
Model Memory and Knowledge
Garudaa's model parameters are not automatically retrained after every user conversation.
BRAHM-AI can maintain external knowledge systems that operate independently from model weights.

Fine-Tuning Direction
Garudaa has been fine-tuned for BRAHM-AI's intended language and reasoning workflows.
Publicly documented fine-tuning priorities include:
- Hindi-first instruction following;
- Indian-language comprehension;
- Devanagari;
- Sanskrit-aware language tasks;
- multilingual interaction;
- Indian conversational context;
- BRAHM-AI integration.
Detailed training resources and internal training procedures are not published.
Security and Privacy
Garudaa's public documentation intentionally does not disclose:
- private training datasets;
- internal training recipes;
- proprietary adapters;
- model weights;
- protected system prompts;
- private evaluation data;

- infrastructure secrets;
- production configuration.
This allows capabilities to be documented without exposing protected implementation details.
Model Evaluation
Garudaa development includes evaluation across areas such as:
- instruction following;
- reasoning;
- Hindi;
- multilingual interaction;
- Indian-language understanding;
- Devanagari;
- Sanskrit-aware prompts;

- RAG integration.
Evaluation should distinguish between:
- model-generated knowledge;
- externally retrieved knowledge;
- exact structured data.
Hardware Independence
Garudaa is designed so the wider BRAHM-AI architecture is not permanently tied to one machine type.
Possible deployment environments include:
CPU
GPU
Local Server
Private Server
Cloud GPU
Edge-Class Hardware
Actual performance depends on:
- available RAM;
- GPU memory;
- quantization;
- context length;
- concurrency;
- runtime optimization.
Local AI Strategy
Garudaa is an important part of BRAHM-AI's local-AI strategy.
The objective is not simply to duplicate externally hosted AI services.
The broader strategy is to maintain internal capability across:
- language intelligence;
- reasoning;
- voice;
- translation;
- scripture knowledge;
- structured computation.
Garudaa specifically provides the large-language-model component of this architecture.
