Keep every Nth item and reject the rest - Every sets the step, Offset the phase. Both outputs are live.
Category: Data | Add menu: Data > Select Every Nth
Routes each item to Selected or Unselected by its position in the list. Every sets the step - Every 2 keeps every other item, Every 3 keeps one in three. Offset shifts the phase, so the pattern can start on a different item; it wraps, so a negative Offset still lands in range. Because Unselected is a live output too, you can style the dropped items differently instead of losing them.
Every and Offset are inline-editable on the node face - double-click and type, no wiring needed.
- Geometry (any): the list of items to filter by position.
- Every (number, editable: default 2)
- Offset (number, editable: default 0)
- Selected (any): the items at every Nth position.
- Unselected (any): the items in between.
The point is usually two treatments rather than one selection. Feed Selected and Unselected into different Style nodes and a plain grid becomes a checkerboard, or every third tile picks up an accent, without you drawing two patterns.
Offset is how you line that up: same step, different phase, so two of these on the same list can divide it between them.
