The BarBorder functionality, if enabled, will draw a border around bars similarly to how a border is drawn around regular windows.

Typically the border colour will be 100% opaque, meaning that it is not subject to transparency effects drawn by a compositor. This creates a noticeable difference when transparency is involved, even if the background and border are the same colour, as seen in the below image:

The BarBorderColBg functionality allows for the background colour of the colour scheme used for the bar to be used for the border as well (instead of the border colour of the colour scheme).

This gives a more uniform look and adds some consistency between when a compositor is running and when not.
