Initial surveillance of Trammel's house - 14 November 1934

The investigators visited Trammel's House on 14 November 1934 to conduct initial surveillance.

After an initial drive around the area, they observed the property from a vantage point using binoculars. They noticed:

• There is a gardener in the adjacent property, working all day
• Several cars full of Mexicans arrive morning and afternoon, enter the carriage house and from there go to the back of the main house, entering through the service entrance.
• Some other Mexicans appear to be patrolling as guards
• Party goers arrive regularly. Most leave shaky, tumbling and driving with difficulty.

At the end of the day, they speak to Genial Brooker and ask him about Trammel and the property. He tells them of a time when he saw Trammel emerge from the house and masturbate in the garden, ejaculating on the ground. The following night, a stone at the same spot had formed a mouth, which was hissing and spitting. Brooker dropped his mother's Holy Cross into the mouth, which returned the whole thing to stone. The investigators took the stone and left. Michael examines it and believe the mouth is now "dead" - something has killed it.
