Address: 513 Henry Street, Savannah, GA Built in 1894 The head of the sanitarium is Dr Lawrence Teake.
Researching the hostpital found that its funding is not very secure.
A massive ivy-covered, red-brick building without any external grounds, located in the middle of the city.
This facility was the residence of Douglas Henslowe since the events of 1924, except for the period March 1933 to February 1934.
Investigator's First Visit - 3 November 1934
The investigators visited the sanitorium for the first time on 3 November 1934. They speak to Nurse Hampton on the front desk and enquire if Douglas Henslowe is there - he is.
Overhearing this, the team are approached by Doctor Keaton, who asks who they are, accepting the answer of "friends from up North" following up on correspondence they obtained from Walter Winston. This sparks the doctor's interest, who believed Winston may have been part of Henslowe's delusions as no member of the Winston family never replied or visited. The investigators ask to see Henslowe - the doctor says this is possible.
Henslowe has been treated there for many years. He has delusional memories - but he experiences a shared delusion with another patient, Edgar Job. Keaton is treating them together.
The investigators inform the doctor of Walter Winston's death and claim to be following up with Henslowe on behalf of the family, after Janet found the letters from him.
The investigators sign waivers and are taken to see Henslowe.
The walls of the sanitorium appear to feature in occult symbols. When Mikhail looked at one symbol on the ceiling, it appeared to form into a mouth, which opened, revealing brown teeth and appeared to mouth some words. When he closed his eyes, the mouth vanished. The symbols appear to be ones that are designed to prevent being watched from afar. Henslowe confirmed that Job had told him which symbols to write on the walls to protect them. Henslowe confirms that he has also seen mouths, like Mikhail.
On arriving, Henslowe is told that Walter has sent them, which the investigators confirm. They well him Walter is dead. Winslowe is visibly distraut and asks how it happened. The investigators say that Janet was not specific, but after reading his letters, they have come to check up on him. Nolan asks about the events of Summer 1924. Henslowe says that Walter had formed, funded and run a group of detectives who travelled the country, looking into occult related incidents. These was connected to drug distribution. They tracked it back to LA, which is where the terrible events happened. Their research pointed to the cult performing some big event, attempting to summon [Gol-goroth(Gol-goroth) that they had made contact with. The cult assembled at a barn to perform this summoning, but the detectives arrived with guns and homemade firebombs. They believed they were saving the world, but after a shootout and horrific fire, many people were dead. Henslowe admits shooting and killing people that night. The beast appeared and started tearing people apart. People went crazy and started killing themselves, throwing themselves into the fire and standing in the line of fire. Walter panicked when the beast came at him and he ran. Henslowe ran as well. After some disbelief, the investigators assure Henslowe that they believe him and will help him. Henslowe urges them to ensure the cult and beast are gone. He has made a notebook, hidden with a secret key, with all the information they had collected. He tells them to find the notebook and key. He gives them a note to give to the groundskeeper to allow them to gain access.
Henslowe confirms that Job was in the cult and was present in the barn during the summoning of 1924. Job killed one of the detectives, Vince Stack.
Henslowe was shown sketches of the symbols from the walls of the sanitorium. He said he put them there to protect them, at Job's instruction. When a photo of the water damage symbol was presented to him, he became very agitated saying "This is it! It's still active! It's watching us! Where did you get it?". When told this was found on the walls of Winston's house, he started shouting "Walter, it's watching me" becoming more agitated until he was remvoed by orderlies.
Doctor Keaton offers the investigators an opportunity to meet Edgar Job. They decline for now, saying they will return the next day.
Investigator's Second Visit - 4 November 1934
The investigators visited the sanitorium for the second time on 4 November 1934. They speak to Nurse Hampton on the front desk and enquire if Douglas Henslowe is there - he is. Mikhail comes up with an excuse to examine the ceiling where they saw the mouth but find only water damage in a vaguely simialr shape.
Nolan butters up the nurse with the promise of a job offer and gets her to show him Henslowe's medical file, Henslowe's accounts and Job's accounts.
The investigators go to interview Job. He is withdrawn and says he cannot talk about the events in California, but the doctor urges him to open up. He admits to killing a man, after the man had stabbed his friend when they were attacked. He admits to being in a cult with someone called Echavarria, taking drugs and having sex for several years. He was introduced to Echeverria by George Ayers. Echeverria had a library of books containing information of rituals which Job took part in while drugged up. He says Echavarria is now in hell after getting his head blown off by a man with a shotgun (Vince Stack). Job believes Echavarria put a spell on him, and that is why he survived. He says that night they were trying to summon Gol-goroth and it unexpectedly came. Echavarria was calling it Gol-Goroth and The Fisher From Outside. He, Job and two others arrived early and drew protection symbols (as seen in the Sanitorium) before summoning the monster. Job fled and was arrested by the police for his involvement in the deaths. It rampaged, killing many people. He does not know what happened to the monster.
