A set of accounts was found by the investigators on their visit to the Henslowe Estate on 3 November 1934.

The accounts show that the family fortune has been badly reduced in recent years. There have been no apparent attempts to restructure investments or recoup losses. Projecting the future, the family will be out of money in around five years.

An expense of $4400 per year is being paid to the Joy Grove Sanitorium for Douglas's care.
