Arthur Jenkins - austenrpg/eternallies GitHub Wiki
Walter Winston's old butler. He was sacked just prior to Winston's death.
Now works in Boston.
He recalls a gathering of Walter's associates in the library in June 1924. One female, three males, one of them in a wheelchair. After they left, Walter said he had to prepare to leave the city for a while. Walter asked him to pack summer clothes for this trip.
Walter returned from his trip in August. He burned most of his books, papers, diaries, etc on his return.
He recalls Walter acting in a paranoid manner, claiming people were watching him, and left the house as infrequently as possible.
He recalls Walter being upset at the water damage marks on the walls. He is unsure of the date but believes is was 1928. Walter removed the paper and saw the stains persisted behind. He called for assistance and removed the damage material in the walls, replacing that and the wallpaper. A few months later, the stain reappeared in the same spot. Walter was terrified by this, and asked for a painting from the attic to be placed over the stain so it was not visible. This was in Walter's bedroom - after this, he moved to another room, locked his old bedroom and asked Jenkins never to enter there again.
Walter let Arthur go, arranging an alternative employment for him, in 1928/9.
