Crafting Wires

Wires are the fundamental base part of Immersive Cables. They transfer power between two locations, allowing for simple circuits, such as a Switch powering an Electric Lamp, to complex circuits that can crunch numbers.

Raw Cable

The raw cable is the first step in creating circuits and subsequent power blocks. They can be used directly (see Connecting Different Colors) or be insulated to give circuits a more organized appearance.

Crafting Raw Cables

To craft raw cables, one copper ingot can be split in the crafting table. One copper ingot turns into six raw cables.

Insulating Cables

Raw cables can be crafted with insulation to make colored cables. Only cables of the same color connect, with the exception of raw cables. As a result, raw cables can be used as a bridge between two different colors of cable. Insulated cables, other than giving a way to distinguish connections within circuits, are mostly used for decoration.

Alternatively, white cables can be recolored with pigment.

Metal Cables

Metal cables are alternative forms of the raw cable which are used for crafting components. They can be made similarly to the raw cable, the only difference being the type of ingot used. For example, iron cable can be crafted with a single iron ingot. Currently, in addition to copper (raw) cables, there are iron, aluminum, and gold cables. Apart from gold, which yields twelve, most cables recipes yield six from one ingot.

Metal cables other than copper cannot be insulated.
