Planned for 7.0 - apache/ctakes GitHub Wiki

There are many changes planned for the Apache cTAKES 7.0 release.

1. A module facilitating use of cTAKES with Apache BEAM.
2. A central Desktop GUI to help new users with standard tools and workflow:
   • fetch dictionaries for dictionary lookup,
   • start the Piper File Submitter and other GUI tools,
   • set up Apache Artemis for cTAKES PBJ,
   • set up reusable pipeline environment dictionary configurations, output writers, etc.
3. Additional tie-ins between cTAKES PBJ and third-party open source python projects.
4. Additional dictionary lookup dictionary databases (associated project).
5. Capabilities to read from and write to zip archives.
6. Improved Patient-level capabilities.
7. Removal of components deprecated in cTAKES versions 4 and 5.
