Reiki Therapy

Reiki (/ˈreɪki/ RAY-kee; Japanese: 霊気) is a pseudoscientific form of energy healing, a type of alternative medicine originating in Japan.[1] Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which, according to practitioners, a "universal energy" is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the client, to encourage emotional or physical healing. It is based on qi ("chi"), which practitioners say is a universal life force, although there is no empirical evidence that such a life force exists.[2][3]... continue reading on wikipedia.

For the past 20 years, I've been studying and writing about the therapy known as "Reiki". After all these years it is still an unfinished work, anyone can read and follow at Elseviers SSRN preprint server. Titled "Reiki - Manual for a Safe Therapeutic Practice" is a book, currently with 36 pages, being written in the area of Holistic Health about Reiki as a therapy.
Abstract
Often found someone saying reiki, is “the secret art of inviting happiness”, in everyday life, inviting happiness requires effort and long-term commitment. Involves changes in personal and social life at times, not easy to accept and acknowledge without actively seeking meanings on principles taught by founder Mikao Usui. Since the beginning of reiki in Portugal much has evolved in information to the general population with found misconceptions and mysticism for explanations on what it is. The presented work addresses the most common misconceptions argued about reiki and presents insights on safety during practice. Further development requires honest practice on addressing hands-on at a short distance of a patient’s ch’i but also his mental and emotional blockages while improving reiki practice as part of complementary medicines.
