Geo-blocked content and Roaming
Some VRT NU content is accessible worldwide, but most content is geo-blocked (geographically blocked) to Belgium. However, if you register on the VRT NU website using a Belgium phone number and use these credentials in the VRT NU Kodi add-on you can access Geo-blocked content anywhere from within Europe, just as you would from the VRT NU website.
Most (if not all) geo-blocked content is also DRM protected.
List of geo-blocked content
- 3rd party content licensed to VRT (restricted to its audience)
- VRT content licensed to others (or valuable to be licensed to others)
- Sport events (e.g. cycling, tennis, football)
- Live TV streams
