  1. Start with the fw01 vm go to the user settings.

    • The first network adapter should be assigned to WAN
    • the second network assigned to LAN-amber and make sure it is connected
    • username/password = root/Ch@mpl@1n!19

  2. Go to OpnSense to configure the WAN and LAN networks

  3. Go to wks01, go to settings to change network adapter 1 to LAN-amber

    • Will automatically sign in, create Admin
    • manage your account (search/ click)
    • sign in options (create a password if needed)
    • go to 'Other people'
    • add a new local user
      • user: amber.daley-loc full_name: amber.daley Pass: set, unclick must change password at next login
    • add user to local administrator's group

  4. configure the IPv4 properties Internet Protocol Version 4

  5. hostname/computer name should be set to wks01-amber

    • control panel
    • system
    • change settings next to computer name
