Places

The INSTITUTION > Places option lists the places of the selected institution and the number of centers in each place. A place may be a location, a city, a campus or the headquarters of the institution and comprises a group of centers. Each center will be associated with a place.

You can sort the list of places by the name of the place or by the number of centers (default option). To change the sorting criteria, click on the header of one of the two columns.

Edit

Institution administrators and system administrators can edit places by clicking on the Edit icon (pencil) in the upper left corner.

When you click on Edit, a Places box appears that contains:

• A first box that allows you to add a new place by filling in the following columns and then clicking on the Create place button:
  • Short name. Short name of the place. If it is not very long, it will usually match the full name.
  • Full name. Full name of the place.
• A list that allows you to edit existing places. You can change the short name and the long name of a place by clicking on one of those names and typing on it.

To remove a place, click on the Remove icon (red trash can). No confirmation is required. You can only remove a place if there are no centers associated with that place.
