List of degrees

The CENTER > Degrees option displays a list of all degrees in the selected center. A degree is a career, diploma, degree, postgraduate, master, cycle or level. The list is sorted alphabetically by degree name.

Each of the rows of the list contains the following columns:

  • Degree: logo and name of the degree.
  • Type: type of degree, eg undergraduate, graduate or master. System administrators can edit the types of degree by clicking on the Types of degree icon in the upper left corner of the box.
  • Courses: number of courses in the degree.
  • Status: New (pending review) or Active.

Editing degrees

Any user can add a degree by clicking on the Edit icon in the upper left corner of the box.

First SWAD shows a form to create a new degree, with the following fields:

  • Short name of the degree.
  • Full name of the degree.
  • Type: a selector with all types available. System administrators can edit the types of degree by clicking on the Types of degree icon in the upper left corner of the box.
  • WWW: full URL, including http:// or https://

When a user creates a new degree, the degree goes to status Pending, which means "pending review", although it is fully usable. System administrators can visit SYSTEM > Hierarchy > Pending to check for centers with degrees that are pending review.

Below that box it is offered a list with all current degrees in the selected center where center administrators, institution administrators and system administrators can edit names, types and WWW fields and eliminate those degrees that do not have any course and any user. A center administrator, institution administrator or system administrator can also activate pending degrees after fixing errors and checking them. If the creator of the degree is not a center administrator, institution administrator or system administrator, he/she can still continue editing the degree while it is in the pending status.
