Earthworm is a food item obtained from various rotting log variants, and the bug box, and is part of several diets to feed tamed animals.

Harvesting

When a rotting log is mined, there is a 10% chance for a single earthworm item to drop instead of the rotting log block. When mined with a Fortune-enchanted tool, this chance increases to 16% at Fortune I, 25% at Fortune II, and 100% at Fortune III. Rock hides mined with Silk Touch never produces earthworm.
