The snow leopard is a medium felid. Native to mountainous regions of east Asia.

Spawning and taming

Snow leopards are a super rare spawn in tundra alpine biomes. They spawn alone. Male and females are equally likely to spawn, and are not sexually dimorphic.

Snow leopards are fast, territorial animals and are harmless if left alone. However, players who get too close to them will become easy prey to these deadly felines.

Keepers should be sure to bring a tranquilizer gun and darts to subdue these quick, territorial predators. Snow leopards can be captured and transported with either capture nets or capture cages.

Snow leopards can be tamed with carnivore kibble.

Care

Snow leopards have 13 hearts (26 points) of health, can deal 5 hearts (10 points) of damage, and drop 2 medium meat and 2 bones upon death.

Snow leopards are medium animals with moderate food needs. They eat a large carnivore diet, consisting of fresh large animal prey.

Snow leopards can use boomer ball, scented ball, scratching post, sprinkler and beef ice treat enrichment items.

Snow leopards are a low fertility species, and can be bred with raw mutton. As medium-sized animals have a gestation time of 56000 ticks, and give birth to 2-4 cubs that will take 4 2/3 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

Exhibit building

(note: exhibit building sections contain a mix of gameplay information and building advice. Not all recommendations are necessary to keep animals happy, fed, and watered, but can help players build a realistic enclosure.)

Variants

Snow leopards have 3 natural variants: Makalu, Everest, and Lhotse.
