Spawning and taming

Leafcutter ants are rare spawns in wet rainforest biomes in groups of 4-6.

As ambient, neutral animals, they can be picked up with a right click without issue.

Leafcutter ants cannot be tamed, but are still perfect for your exhibits anyways! As medium speed animals, it may take you a couple tries.

Care

Leafcutter ants have 1 hearts (2 points) of health, can deal 0.5 hearts (1 points) of damage, and drop 1 leafcutter ant upon death.

As ambient animals, they do not need specialized care.

Leafcutter ants can be bred with wheat seeds.

Usage

Leafcutter ant is a food item obtained from Leafcutter ants when killed, and is part of several diets to feed tamed animals.

Food

Eating one Leafcutter ant restores 1 hunger.

Breeding

Leafcutter ants can be used to breed tamed Giant Anteaters and Tree Frogs. Leafcutter ants will also make their babies grow up faster by 10% of the remaining time.

Variants

There are 3 color variants of the leafcutter ant: Texas, Mexican, and Brazilian.
