Animal feeders - ZAWA-Evolved/ZAWA GitHub Wiki
Animal feeders are blocks used to provide food and water to animals.
Once an animal eats food or drinks water from a feeder block, it saves the location of the block and can find its way back to it as long as it is reachable. Animals receive a saturation boost after eating or drinking, where their stats will not deplete for a short period of time. Animals are more likely to seek out feeder blocks the more hungry or thirsty they are.
Feeders have 18 inventory slots for food. When full, feeders show the food contents of their most common food item.
Feeders can also be filled with water by right-clicking them with a water bucket. Once filled with water, feeders' inventory cannot be opened, and they act as an infinite water source for animals. To remove water from a feeder, right-click it with an empty bucket.
All animal feeders can be used by all animal species, but some work better than others for different animals. For example, birds can perch on wall bowls to access them easier, and smaller animals may not be able to reach wall forages placed up high.
With some exceptions, most feeders can be used for both food and water.

Wall forage

Wall forages are wooden boxes with a wire fenced front. They are used to provide roughage for herbivores. As such, they only display "grain" and "leaves" textures. Wall forages cannot be filled with water.
One wall forage can be crafted with 2x Wire Bars, 3x Wooden Slab, and 4x Stripped Log. Because wall forages have wood variants, all of the wood used needs to be the same type.
