Format categories
Fully supported formats
These formats currently have dedicated features:
.msh— Mesh browsing, 3D preview and export.st— Texture preview and PNG export.bnm— Animation reading and experimental preview
Inspection-only formats
These formats can be read and inspected but do not currently have dedicated editing workflows.
Examples:
.mtm.gat.ban
Indexed formats
Some formats are recognized and indexed by the tool but do not yet have dedicated viewers.
Examples:
.gin.cin.plr.cap.smf.fts
These resources may still be useful for reverse engineering.
Documentation convention
When reverse engineering a format, distinguish clearly between:
- Confirmed behavior
- Observed patterns
- Current hypotheses
- Unknown fields
This avoids turning assumptions into permanent documentation.
