Lesson 3 - Water-Monitor/IoT-Portfolio-FJS GitHub Wiki

This lesson we worked on:

  • For me this lesson was fine, I did not need a lot of help and could figure it out by myself. It was nice that we only were with 3 students so the teacher could focus on helping someone that had troubles with understanding it. I refreshed my Arduino knowledge and learned how to reply it for EPS8266, so that was nice, but I feel like I could have learned more. Since I was already faster in the morning I had time to work on my portfolio and then also the entire afternoon, so that was nice, since I had neglect that for the previous two lessons.

Lession 3 was good, and here I gain alot of new knowlege. Like setting up an accesspoint which is something i've never done before. Arduino IDE was also something new for me, as I mentiond I did not understand the logic but got better after practicing a bit. In this class I also understood that what you program to the MCU and upload, the MCU will always run that code when you use the device, which I think is really interesting and cool. Looking forward for the next class.

In the beginning, I managed to follow the first example with the Button quite easily. However, I was lost as soon as we started to combine the "HelloServer" example with the buttons. I did learn, that the last part of the URL was called "endpoint" and stuff like that (which I never gave too much attention before) but I had to revise the whole lesson during the weekend to stay on track with the others (with success).
