New Fancii Weapon

Use these materials to request a new pristine fancii-diamond sword made by the reforgers. The sword will have a random skin chosen by the reforger and its durability should be no less than half that of a regular diamond sword. Because you've supplied most of the required materials, you usually only need a simple token payment to unlock and accept the reforger's offer.

Extras

1. More Skins, More Types

-or-

Add these materials if you want the reforgers to pick from a larger pool of skins and base weapon profiles. In particular, including an artificial reforger's gem gives the reforgers the extra material needed to try for a "bigly" sword. This is the easiest way to obtain one of these swords as they are very rarely discarded in loot chests.

2. Add Profile Reforging

Add these materials if you also want the reforgers to alter the base attributes of the new weapon in the hopes they can make it better. Now, hoping for something and actually getting it are two different things. If you're lucky to get an journeyman or master reforger, the attribute changes are likely to improve your weapon; but with an apprentice reforger...not so much. The final alterations will be summarized under a descriptive adjective like "Superior" or "Terrible"; read the Reforge Profiles page for more information.

3. Add Curse Stripping

As Ralphie famously said: "truly a bit of bribery never hurt." Add these materials if you want the reforgers to attempt to remove the vanishing curse that automatically binds to all items made using their forging process. For the new weapons the reforgers make themselves, this stripping is almost always successful. Note that the material required is the flattened witch head plaquette not the mob head drop.

Curse removed successfully!

Existing Weapon

You can request re-casts and re-skins of existing swords and axes. The supplied item can be any weapon made by reforgers (a Fancii weapon), a vanilla Minecraft sword or axe, or a simple sword from another mod. The only requirement is that the item have a base attack damage equivalent to or better than the standard Minecraft Stone Sword (5pts) and a current durability of no less than 25% its total. Note that you cannot recast or reskin an unrepairable or an unbreakable item!

1. Upgrade to Fancii

... -or- ...

Requests the re-casting of an existing low-grade sword or axe to a Fancii sword. Any sword or axe with a base damage level at or above stone (5pts) but less than diamond works. Include an extra coarse fanciirite ingot to allow reforger to select from a larger set of fancii swords (highly recommended).

2. Changing Fancii

... -or- ...

Requests the re-skinning or re-casting of an existing Fancii weapon to another. For less durable swords such as the relics, you must include a journeyman reforger's gem to add material (and bribery) to increase your chance of getting a better base fancii sword. If the sword is already of a higher quality like the Touch of Obsidian sword shown above, including a gem encourages the reforger to select from all available fancii swords including special mini-sets such as the blooded and colossus swords. Note however that the better the starting sword's stats, the more likely you are to get a different fancii sword that has worse base stats than the one you've got.

May be worth it if you want something specific...!?

3. Weapon Trade-In

If you're just rolling in master reforger gems (!) you can make a request to completely swap out one kind of weapon for another in what amounts to a blind trade-in. You'll usually want to include some extra materials (read next section) to also get a random stats profile associated with the new weapon as that's the fun bit! The to-be-swapped weapon must be of Iron sword quality or better.

Extras

1. Add Profile Reforging

-or- Use 2x gold if less than diamond quality

Add these materials if you want the reforger to alter the base attributes of the weapon in the hopes they can make it better. These changes will apply to either a newly recast item (such as an axe recast from a sword) or to the original supplied item. The warnings given for new items regarding the quality of alterations apply here as well. For standard iron-grade weapons, this is an alternate way to get a significantly better weapon without sacrificing too many diamonds!

2. Try Curse Stripping

Add these materials if your original item is a fancii-diamond sword or you're re-casting an iron or equivalent sword to a fancii-diamond sword. The reforger will attempt to remove the vanishing curse from the final item; the success rate isn't very high: about 10-17%. If unsuccessful, these materials are returned to you.
