Invisible ceiling test - UQdeco2800/2021-ext-studio-2 GitHub Wiki
Purpose
The main purpose of this test is to observe and reconfirm whether the system prevents the player from jumping off the screen during play. Observe and record their behaviour and test results by observing the participants as they complete the task. After the test, we will ask them several questions to further judge users' satisfaction with this function and collect specific improvement suggestions.
Process
Testers will be asked to participate in our testing tasks. We will introduce the specific steps and objectives of the task to the testers before the task starts, and give them a complete introduction to the rules of the game. As the testers completed the task, we recorded the user's reactions. Finally, we will analyse the observations and collected results to find out the problems in the functions and preliminarily determine the solutions.
Tasks
- Testers were asked to click the jump button repeatedly after the game started to see if the player would jump out of the screen.
- The tester needs to find the first portal and access the new map. Then tap the jump button repeatedly, as Task1 does, to see if the player jumps out of the screen.
Key questions we asked were:
- Do you think this design will improve your game experience? Why?
- What improvements do you think this feature needs to make?
