Backstory:
Before the Fall:
- He was once an esteemed chef at a Michelin-starred restaurant in a busy metropolis (ie. NYC)
- Acquired global recognition as a chef.
- Animals were nothing more than ingredients—resources to be transformed into dishes for the elite
- Built a reputation for his talent and expertise.
The Fall (Animal farm type beat)
- Started small, animals behaving strangely, becoming more aware, more intelligent.
- Animals everywhere began to rise up, rebelling against humans in ways no one could have foreseen.
- Farms were overrun, livestock freed themselves, and the world’s food supply—so dependent on animals—collapsed in mere weeks.
- The uprising spread quickly, and society crumbled under the weight of this unexpected revolt.
After the Fall:
- Marcus managed to survive the chaos, but he lost everything—his restaurant, his fame, and the life he had built.
- One of the last remaining members of humanity
- Marcus found himself in a world where food was scarce, survival was uncertain.
- His culinary expertise became his lifeline.
- He struck a deal with one of the gangs that controlled the area—an alliance that came at a steep cost.
- The gang, run by predatory animals operate the ‘Beastly Bistro’ a restaurant in crime-riddled district.
- Marcus serves the animals as customers, which he used to use in his recipes
- The restaurant’s survival depended on pleasing its dangerous customers, no matter the cost.
- The ingredients at his disposal are scarce, morally corrupt eg. the remains of someone who didn’t make it through the night, mysterious meat from the gang’s "black market" suppliers, poison
- FNAF (except day instead of night) !! Marcus is the sole chef at the restaurant, restricted to maybe 5-7 days of working = to levels
Motivations and Internal Struggles:
- Guilt: Marcus is tormented by the knowledge that his culinary brilliance is now used to serve immoral purposes. He must decide whether to betray his principles to stay alive eg. meat that belonged to a fellow human —> lead to implications later in the game eg. human settlements involvement??
- Survival vs. Morality: Marcus’ only motivation is to stay alive, but his survival often means compromising his morals. Should he continue to serve whatever the gang demands, even if it means serving drugs, corpses, or dangerous animals?
- The Shadow of His Past: The memory of his former life haunts him. Now, he has neither control nor respect, and every decision he makes in the kitchen feels like one step closer to losing his humanity.
