Speech

The OS-DPI allows many customizable changes to the speech output.

Voice

All available voices on your own machine are listed here. Be sure that the language being used in the design matches the Voice language so that the OS-DPI interprets the text correctly into speech. Currently, the OS-DPI knows nothing of language. Ideally in the future, Natural Language Processing (NLP) components will do that. For now, characters that are input are interpreted by the text-to-speech engine are entirely determined by the Voice you choose.

Pitch

You can adjust the pitch of the voice output to be higher or lower.

Rate

You can adjust the rate of the voice output to be faster or slower.

Volume

You can adjust the loudness, or volume of the voice outuput.
