Title: Phone Mode Change by karthik
Presenter: Karthik

Problem Statement:
Do you remember those moments where your phone rings during class and you scramble to turn it off? Perhaps this has happened in a meeting or during an interview. Have you ever been on a flight and realized that you’ve forgotten to switch to airplane mode? Have you ever missed a phone call because you had not switched from silent mode? A mobile application that addresses these issues would be helpful.
Application Specifications
· The application should have two options. When the first option is selected, the user should be prompted every time for permission before the app decides to change the existing mode. When the second option is selected, the app changes the modes automatically without asking the user for any permission
· Design a mobile application that determines your location and changes your phone to the appropriate mode dynamically
· When the user is at a location where the phone is expected to be silent, (e.g. places of worship, classroom, team meetings etc.) the phone should switch to silent mode
· When the user is on a flight, the phone should turn on airplane mode
· At other locations, the phone should switch to ringing mode.
· The app should sense the user’s location, (e.g. church, home etc.) using the Google Maps API. If a user adds an event to a calendar (e.g. Google Calendar, Outlook), the app should be aware of the event timing/location and change the mode accordingly. For example, if the user is attending a meeting, the app should be aware of this and switch the mobile to silent during the meeting
