The Stone Macerator, a more primitive version of the normal Macerator offered by IndustrialCraft 2 Classic (IC2C), is virtually a Macerator that runs off coal. When given Fuel (a burnable Material) and a Process Material (ex. Iron Ore), it will do the exact same tasks as any other macerator: macerate it. The only difference between the Stone Macerator and a normal, Metal Macerator is their texture and what their requirements are to execute a task.
