Sometimes, people want to cut Insulation from their Cables. IndustrialCraft 2 Classic (IC2C) has the item to do just that; Insulation Cutters. Crafted from 3 Refined Iron Ingots and 2 Iron Ingots , the Insulation Cutters can remove Rubber (or Insulation) from any cables placed in-world.

Left-Clicking a Cable with the Insulation Cutters in hand will remove Rubber from the Cable, while Right-Clicking a Cable with the Insulation Cutters in hand will add Rubber, or Insulation, to the Cable.

This only applies to Cables that can have Insulation (rubber) added on to them; Cables like Glass Fibre or Plasma can not have insulation added to them.

The Insulation Cables also have a durability of 512, and can be enchanted with Mending and Unbreaking.
