Dialogs - SillyBits/satisfactory-savegame-tool-ng GitHub Wiki

Dialogs

This tool also hosts a ton of dialogs, or better will be hosting a ton

Only few available as of now which are described on this page.

Options dialog

Allows for configuring different aspects of the tool, with aspects being grouped on individual tab pages.

General

General tab allows for defining you favorite language, where you save are located and where to store exported data.

Trees

This page allows for tweaking the trees being shown. You can change both order and visibility.

Reporting [not available yet]

Future versions will allow you to tweak several reporting options, besides uploading crash reports you can choose to contribute to different projects by uploading specific data from your save game.

About box

The most important dialog of all, reached from Help menu located at the far right. Contains typical information like version, author and a short description incl. links (e.g. to reached the tool source on Github). This dialog will also name people who contributed to the tool, either directly or indirectly.

Changelog

Next up, the Changelog, also available in the Help menu. Nothing special to say, just a list of versions.

Export

A neat little feature this tool allows for is the ability to export savegames into text files. Besides exporting as a whole (e.g. to learn the structure behind savegames, like I did), one can also do partially filtered exports on specific aspects. This dialog can be reached though the 'File' menu, and only avail when a savegame was loaded.

As description is quite big, decision was made to give it its own page which can be found here.

Property details

There is way more information stored in those saves than the details panel is able to show as the panel "compresses" information to show the most relevant ones in a nice way.

To get ahold the original information, press your right mouse button when a leaf node is selected and a small context menu will pop up which allows you to Inspect the currently selected leaf. But this will only work on leafs, pressing right mouse button on a tree node will do just nothing, be aware.

This dialog allows for exporting the information shown by using the Save button.

Image display

Another dialog which will come in handy, as of now used to show your actual "Fog of war" if you've navigated to "Script / FactoryGame / FGMapManager / MapManager".

This dialog also allows for exporting the information shown by using the Save button.
