By default, your home directory is empty - you won't even have most of the basic bash dotfiles.

You can set up symlinks (linux) and shortcuts (windows) to get back and forth between each other.

From your WSL shell, in your home directory, launch, "explorer ." (don't forget the dot). This will open windows explorer to your home (~) directory. From there, you can right click on any folder (navigate around as needed) and set up explorer Quick Access links to folders within your WSL system direcory.
