About GeoTools

GeoTools is run by the Project Management Committee (PMC) (a group of volunteers who have made significant contributions to the project.)
GeoTools is managed through an open development process, with public collaboration on new ideas. Project communication is open to all, and we welcome new contributions.
In 2006, the GeoTools PMC decided to join the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo). Since that time, GeoTools has been following the incubation process of OSGeo.
