Polesie was a town owned by Jengordyn. It was started on August 11th 2020 as "Korytarz_Bałtycki" (with the ł absent). It was then renamed to "Gdynia", after the real-life town in Poland. It was initially located on terrirories previously occupied by East Berlin. For the longest time, Polesie has been a member of Eurasia, but has since abandoned nationhood and pursued a policy of neutrality. The town was disbanded on May 5th 2021.
Territory
The town's initial territory was located between Warszawa and Pomerian, with Prague and Prussia in close proximity. Its most noticable feature was the large fields of farmland. A popular tourist attraction in the city was a graveyard of Maystar2306's dead towns.
After the Prague annexation (29-09-20), it also included many of its buildings, including the Aquarium, the Austrian Embassy and the Kaiser Memorial. These building were annexed with the intent to renovate them. The changing of all flags to Gdynia's was planned. This plan never came to fruition, as the town was relocated.
History
The town was originally called "Korytarz Bałtycki", with the name derived from its location - in the historical Polish Baltic Corridor. That name was changed to its English counterpart (Baltic Corridor) shortly after creation due to the server not supporting Polish letters, and then changed again - to Gdynia - on 28th August 2020. In the following days, it expanded to cover most of the territory left unclaimed between Prague and Warszawa. After the fall of Prague, Gdynia exhaused its claims on the town's previous territory. To coincide with the relocation, the name was changed again to "Polesie", after the region the town was located in.
East_Silesia War
On 25th of November 2020, Gdynia left Eurasia to join the rising nation of Romania. It returned to Eurasia after 2 days, as Romania's claims bonus was too small for Gdynia. Before returning, however, East_Silesia declared war on Gdynia for "betrayal of the nation". After the return, E_S's chief, JuLian_31, entered Gdynia to sign a peace agreement, but as Gdynia never accepted the declaration of war in the first place, Archduke Jengordyn told JuLian to leave. Entwined in all of this was Joshua31, JuLian's brother, who was a citizen of Gdynia in the Romanian Period, and left it before Gdynia rejoined Eurasia. Both brothers went on to harass Jengordyn and two citizens who claimed Joshua's abandoned home, ending with the Silesians being outlawed from the town. Gamer552233 of Croatia volunteered to join the war on Gdynia's side, which ended with him being harassed by the Ślōnskbros as well, but no formal fights occured. Gdynia's board once read "east_silesia large homosexual", with the purpose of challenging the manhood of both brothers. East_Silesia has since left Eurasia to join the Soviet Union and was temporarily renamed to "Kolgdinia". It is now known as Wroclaw and in the German Empire.
Relocation
Due to percieved ugliness of the town and lack of residents, Jengordyn decided to move the town elsewhere. The new location was the westernmost point of Belarus, near the real-life town of Brest and the Bereza Kartuska prizon.
The town was disbanded on May 5th 2021 due to Jengordyn leaving the server after being disappointed with the Weekend War.
