Of historical interest - specific templates have now been identified and standardized and are summarized at DICOM CPs and Supplements for QIICR

Identify previous work in DICOM SR templates (existing templates that are/are not part of the standard) that is relevant in the context of encoding analysis results for DBPs.

1. Explore the capabilities of Encoding of Oncology Clinical Trial Read Results in DICOM SR (QIBA VolCT, contributed by David Clunie)
2. Consider templates referenced by David in his presentation (TID 1410 Planar ROI measurements, TID 1420 Volumetric ROI measurements (defined in DICOM CP 1112 ftp://medical.nema.org/medical/dicom/final/cp1112_ft.pdf)

Observations:

• concepts of reader, lesion, time point, subject are present only in the template that is not part of the standard
• algorithm parameters description is addressed at a very rudimentary level: some of the parameters encoded are very specific to the algorithm used (e.g., TID RPH_0007b: Sub-Regions and Measurements), while in other places these are completely unstructured (TID RPH_0002b: Device Observer Identifying Attribute)
• parameter maps are not part of any of the existing templates (need to confirm)
