Player Menu
Last updated: 01.2025
The Player Menu is a powerful tool that automates complex rule mechanisms and helps players (as well as the Game Master) manage elaborate checks and processes.
Access
The menu is accessible via the toolbar on the left edge of the screen:
- Select the DSA Menu layer (Icon: DSA Logo or similar)
- Click on the Player Menu tool (Icon: Person with gear /
fas fa-dsa5-player)

Functions
The menu is divided into different areas that can be used as needed.
1. Summoning (Elementals & Demons)
This area helps with the summoning of entities.
- Preparation: Drag the summoning character (yourself) into the menu (if not automatically selected)
- Select Entity: Drag the entity you want to summon (e.g., from the compendium) via drag & drop into the summoning area
- Spell Selection: Choose the appropriate spell (e.g., Invocatio Minor, Manifesto)
- Modifications:
- You can select various improvements for the summoned entity (e.g., better attack, armor protection)
- The system automatically calculates the check penalty and costs (AsP)
- Check: Click on the dice to perform the summoning check. On success, the entity is created with the chosen values (or the values are displayed)

2. Alchemy (Brewing Potions)
A helper for creating potions and elixirs.
- Actor: Make sure your alchemist is active in the menu
- Recipe: Drag a recipe (item) via drag & drop into the menu
- Brewing Process:
- The tool supports the necessary aggregate checks
- It calculates quality levels (QL) and required time
- On failure (botch), corresponding tables for side effects can be consulted

3. Smithing & Crafting
Similar to alchemy, this area supports the creation of weapons, armor, and other items.
- Process:
- Select craftsman
- Drag in blueprint/recipe (weapon/armor)
- Select materials and trade secrets (if necessary)
- Roll aggregate checks until the required QL are reached

4. Artifacts

5. Character Calculator
A small button (often top right or in the menu) opens the character calculator, which helps calculate advancement costs (AP) or plan attributes.
