Batista Nigel Cakewalk

Batista Nigel Cakewalk (born Theodore Needlemouse, also filed as B. N. Cakewalk or Batista) is the CEO of Parafield Corp, Prime Minister of United Columbus, architect of the S.F.R. program, and covert project lead of the Vitals Initiative.

Biography

Early life and name change

Born Theodore Needlemouse, he legally changed his surname to Cakewalk in the 1970s. Associates who had known him as Nigel continued using the name, so he formally adopted Nigel as his middle name rather than correct them.

Education

Holds three doctorates from International Columbus University: High-Energy Nuclear Physics, Systems Engineering, and Synthetic Biology with Genetic Engineering. The combination underpins his later authority across reactor design, facility systems, and soul synthesis.

Reactor leadership

Cakewalk oversaw development of the S.F.R. Mark I superstructure, a pulsed inertial confinement system built into Meridian bedrock. Under his direction the facility standardized Hex Triad operations, C-2500 maintenance doctrine, and the three tier emergency ladder of SCRAM, Desync Vent Protocol, and receptacle ejection. Vitals Initiative

Motivated by Human Kanji population decline below recovery threshold, Cakewalk initiated unsanctioned soul synthesis research in Sector D. Using approximately fifteen percent of his own soul signature as starter culture, he seeded five Vesta grade embryos. Subjects V-1 through V-4 failed at approximately four months from soul reject. Subject V-5 stabilized at 98.2 percent sync and was renamed Leo.

Cakewalk concealed the work for years while attending cabinet duties, then disclosed it to Site Director Randi Mathias and Senior Scientist David Robertson in VITALS-MEETING-001. Pablo Cakewalk later discovered the site independently.

Parliament crisis and sanction

After confrontation with Mathias in VITAL-CRITICAL-092 and a subsequent apology in VITAL-AFTERMATH-09, Parliament issued sanction on April 14 1986. The decree recognized Leo Cakewalk as citizen with succession rights and reclassified Vitals as a Sanctioned National Heritage Project, while warning Cakewalk against authoritarian overreach.
