Description
This is a strange weapon made of a dark grey metal that consists of only a handle as well as a glowing knob that protrudes out the halfway mark on the handle (from an unknown hole).
A dial also exists on the top of the handle that can be pulled up and spun and then allowed to drop down in a notch. This changes the nature of the bow. Markings on the spin-dial and an arrow on the handle indicate the behavior the bow will take.
The bow currently has the following settings to be selected:
- Longbow (Composite, 6-settings)
- Shortbow (Composite, 6-settings)
When the knob is bullet from the handle, a Psioni-graphic light-image of the bow appears for the user. However this is unseen by other users. When the user releases the knob, it will quickly travel back to the handle while a long light-shaft (like an arrow) is released by the handle a few inches in front of it, opposite the side of the knob.
This shaft will travel just as an arrow does and will strike the target with the same power of a comparable arrow. When the light-shaft is finally embedded, it will vanish, leaving either a dent in a wall or a now-empty hole in their target.
However this weapons ammunition is not sourced normally. When the arrow is released, needles quickly jolt out and draw blood from its user’s hands. The weapon will deal 1 damage for every arrow shot.
The six-settings for the longbow form allow for +0, +1, +2, +3, +4, +5 additional strength damage modifiers (like composite). Likewise, the six-settings for the shortbow form allow for +0, +1, +2, +3, +4, +5 additional strength damage modifiers (like composite).
The weapon gains damage bonus equal to the user's constitution modifier.
In essence, the bow provides free ammunition, however at the cost of life to do so. Additionally, it provides no change of ammunition unless it’s add-on slot is made use of.
On the side of the handle that does not have the handle, there is a slot for Hemagenic Upgrades.
