dH2O ( deionized water )

This is second purest water available in the Department. This water is also called ultra-pure or agua-pura in some protocols.

We use this water for:

• Agarose gel electrophoresis, buffers, gels etc.
• Microbial growth media

For some applications double deionized water ddH2O may be necessary.
