AppImages for QMapShack

Install QMapShack

QMapShack AppImages are provided for several Linux versions (Fedora, openSUSE, Ubuntu, ...). Detailed information about the supported versions including download links can be found here and here. Some of the AppImages can be downloaded from the Assets sections of the QMapShack release page and from apprepo.de, too.

Build AppImage for QMapShack

Recommendations for building a QMS AppImage (for more details compare the links in the previous section):

To be on the safe side, proceed as follows:

  • Set up a virtual machine and install, for example, Ubuntu 22.04 on it, so that you don't ruin your current operational environment.
  • Install Docker.
  • Pull a fork of AppImage environment from Github.
  • Experiment with an existing Dockerfile and repeatedly build and run with Docker.
