Task:

• Share a report, dashboard or object (Data Element, Indicator, Category, etc.) to certain User Groups in DHIS2

Notes:

• The Process outlined here works for any object which has the option "Share" or "Sharing settings"

Instructions:

Step 1: Right click on the object you want to share (or hide) and select 'Sharing settings'.

  a. To share a dashboard, click the 'Share' button when looking at the dashboard you want to share

 

Step 2: You will see a pop-up, where you can enter the name of any existing User Group to change that groups view/edit access.

a. 'Public access' means anyone who can log into this instance of DHIS2 can view this object/report

b. 'External access' allows this object/report to be shared through an API/web portal, with users who are not signed in to this instance of DHIS2

c. Click the User Groups you want to give access to - they will be added to the list, where you can toggle their permissions.

 

Step 3: Click 'Save' to complete the update.
