Task:

• Edit OrgUnits (Organisational Units) in DHIS2.

• OrgUnits are geographical regions or locations and are used to build an organisation tree represented through a geographical reporting hierarchy.

Instructions:

Step 1: Go to the 'Maintenance' app:

 

Step 2: Click 'Organization Unit' at the top of the screen or scroll down to find it.

 

Step 3: Find the OrgUnit you want to edit. Search in the hierarchy on the left side of the page and click the parent of the OrgUnit you want to edit. A parent OrgUnit is the root of a set of other OrgUnits directly below the hierarchical chain. For example, the City of Toronto is a child of the Province of Ontario (the parent of the City of Toronto), which is a child of Country of Canada (the parent of the Province of Ontario).

 

Step 4: Right-click the OrgUnit you want to edit and select 'edit'.

 

Step 5: You will be taken to the form. Make any changes you wish.

 

Step 6: Click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen to save your changes

To find an OrgUnit's UID, right-click on it and select 'Show details'. The UID is located at the bottom right of the page.
