Task:

  • Create Data Sets in DHIS2.

Notes:

  • Data Sets are disconnected from the content of Data Elements, and therefore can be changed without affecting the underlying raw data.

Instructions:

Step 1: Go to the 'Maintenance' app:

 

Step 2: Select 'Data Set'.

Step 3: Click the blue '+' button.

Fill out;

  1. Name

  2. Short name (Must be 50 characters or less)

  3. Select Frequency from the following options (Monthly is default):

 

  1. Double-click the desired Data Elements and Indicators to make them appear in the text box on the right. Alternatively, you can select multiple OrgUnits with 'Shift+click' or 'Ctrl+click' and click on the arrow to move it into the 'selected' box.

Step 4: To assign OrgUnits to this Data Set, highlight the desired OrgUnits, or use pre-created OrgUnit Groups. This allows the selected OrgUnits to enter data into your newly created Data Set.

Step 5: Click 'Save'.

 

IMPORTANT: To enter data, you must add the newly created Data Set to each User Role(s) that will be entering data.
