CellSeach marker characterization example
In this example we will analyze the marker channel of several CellSeach samples using the Marker characterization sample processor.
Background
The aim of the Marker Characterization sample processor is to evaluate the expression of certain markers on prescored CTCs. That means, instead of loading all images only small thumbnails of cells scored as CTC by a human operator are loaded and evaluated. At the moment these CTC can be either selected in CellSearch of by using a plugin for the ICY image analysis software.
STEP 1
Copy your CellSearch archives into one folder as described in the data folder structure page.
STEP 2
start ACCEPT, after starting the program should should show the following window:
Select the marker characterization task:
select the folder with your samples by pressing the button:
After selecting the folder where ACCEPT can store it results, the window should list your samples:
STEP 3
Press the process button to analyze all samples. You will see a progress bar and all samples should turn green when ACCEPT is done. The processing time dependings on the number of samples, the number of CTC present and ofcourse the speed of the PC.
STEP 4
Individual samples can be investigated by selecting a sample with the tick box next to the cartridge number and pressing visualize:
The selected sample will now be loaded. If you use a DVD, network drive or slow harddrive this can take a while The following window should be shown:
